Strawberry pop tart sandwiches
Ingredients
- 4 slices wholemeal bread
- 1 cup hulled strawberries (sliced 0.5cm thick)
- ground cinnamon (for sprinkling)
Method
- Cut the crusts off the bread and freeze them for another use. Roll the bread nice and thin using a rolling pin.
- Place the sliced strawberries on one half of each bread slice, leaving 1 cm of space around the edges.
- Fold the bread over the strawberries and, using your fingers, pinch the edges to seal.
- Crimp the edges with a fork, then pop your pop tarts in the toaster and toast to your liking. Sprinkle a little cinnamon on top and don’t hold back. Delicious and simple.

Tip: Feel free to use blueberries or other berries instead of strawberries. You can also make these ‘pop tarts’ in a frying pan with butter and cinnamon.
